HarperCollins Publishers LLC is one of the world's largest publishing companies and is one of the Big Five English-language publishing companies, alongside Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Hachette, and Macmillan. The company is headquartered in New York City and is a subsidiary of News Corp. The name is a combination of several publishing firm names: Harper & Row, an American publishing company acquired in 1987—whose own name was the result of an earlier merger of Harper & Brothers (founded in 1817) and Row, Peterson & Company—together with UK publishing company William Collins, Sons (founded in 1819), acquired in 1990.

There are a lot of disruptions during the work day that adversely affect the work flow. In my department, specifically, there's also a very negative environment created by "cliques" and led by management. The director, instead of leading the department, focuses on minor things irrelevant to the work being done by the managers. The director has been instrumental in creating a "high school" type of environment by forming cliques with the assistants, while alienating the managers and undermining their roles at every opportunity. On a positive note, the managers do work very well with each other for the most part and independently, which contributes to the continuous success of the department. They refused to accept any responsibility and refused to replace the book. They only offered a refund if I returned the book at my own expense."

Don’t sign anything from them if you don’t wanna have problems in the future calling their awful customer service.
They charged me for a subscription that I didn’t authorized and when I called asking for refund I had I really hard time with them on the phone. It’s already been more then a month and I didn’t received the refund yet.
Everyone that I spoke to on the phone was rude in every word and they don’t care about you. Just an advice"
